Responsible Gaming
Version: 1.0 | Last Updated: 31 August 2026
At Fortunica (casinofortunicaonline.uk), player welfare is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a safe, fair, and enjoyable environment for all players. Gambling is intended to be a form of entertainment, and we recognise our responsibility to help players who may be at risk of gambling-related harm.
This Responsible Gaming Policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
1. Our Commitment
Fortunica is fully committed to responsible gambling principles. Our dedication to player safety is reflected in the following core commitments:
- We enforce strict age verification (— minimum age 18 years) before any player may deposit or wager;
- We provide a comprehensive suite of player protection tools, freely and easily accessible via Account settings or our support team;
- We train our customer support staff to identify and respond sensitively to players who may be displaying signs of problem gambling;
- We cooperate with national self-exclusion schemes, including GAMSTOP, to ensure excluded players cannot access our services;
- We promote awareness of responsible gambling resources and support organisations;
- We never market our services to vulnerable individuals or those who have self-excluded.
2. Recognising Problem Gambling
Problem gambling can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or income. It often develops gradually and can be difficult to recognise. The following checklist may help you identify whether gambling has become a problem for you or someone you care about:
- ☐ Do you find yourself gambling with money you cannot afford to lose, such as money set aside for bills, rent, or food?
- ☐ Do you spend increasing amounts of time or money gambling in order to achieve the same level of excitement or satisfaction?
- ☐ Have you tried to cut down or stop gambling but found it difficult or impossible to do so?
- ☐ Do you feel restless, irritable, or anxious when you are not gambling or when you try to stop?
- ☐ Do you use gambling as a way to escape from personal problems, stress, depression, or loneliness?
- ☐ Do you find yourself chasing losses — continuing to gamble in an attempt to win back money you have lost?
- ☐ Have you lied to family members, friends, or others about how much time or money you spend gambling?
- ☐ Has gambling caused significant problems in your relationships, employment, finances, or overall health?
- ☐ Have you borrowed money, sold personal possessions, or engaged in other unusual financial behaviour to fund gambling?
- ☐ Do you continue to gamble even when you know it is causing harm to you or those around you?
If you answered yes to three or more of the above statements, we strongly encourage you to make use of the player protection tools available on our Platform and to reach out to one of the support organisations listed in Section 6 of this page.
3. Player Protection Tools
We provide a range of free, easy-to-use tools to help you manage your gambling activity responsibly. All tools can be activated by contacting our support team at [email protected] or, where available, directly within your Account settings.
3.1 Deposit Limits
You may set a maximum deposit limit on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Once a deposit limit is set, it takes effect immediately. Requests to decrease a deposit limit are applied immediately. Requests to increase a deposit limit are subject to a cooling-off period of up to 7 days before taking effect, allowing time for reflection.
3.2 Loss Limits
A loss limit caps the total amount you can lose within a defined period (daily, weekly, or monthly). Once your loss limit is reached, you will be unable to place further wagers until the limit resets. As with deposit limits, reductions take effect immediately, while increases are subject to a waiting period.
3.3 Session Time Limits & Reality Checks
You can set a maximum session duration to restrict the time you spend on the Platform in a single session. Additionally, you may enable reality check reminders, which will notify you at set intervals (e.g., every 30, 60, or 90 minutes) of how long you have been playing and allow you to choose to continue or stop.
3.4 Cooling-Off Period
A cooling-off period allows you to take a short break from gambling without committing to a full self-exclusion. Cooling-off periods are available for durations of 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During a cooling-off period, you will be unable to access games or make deposits. Cooling-off requests take effect immediately and cannot be reversed during the active period.
3.5 Self-Exclusion
If you feel that you need a longer break or wish to exclude yourself from all gambling activity, you may request self-exclusion for a minimum period of 6 months, up to a permanent exclusion. To request self-exclusion, contact our support team at [email protected]. Self-exclusion requests are actioned immediately and cannot be reversed before the chosen period has expired.
During self-exclusion, your account will be suspended, you will not receive marketing communications, and any remaining balance will be returned to you after completing standard verification checks. We strongly recommend that players who self-exclude also register with the GAMSTOP national self-exclusion scheme at gamstop.co.uk, which covers multiple UK-licensed gambling operators.
3.6 Account Closure
If you wish to permanently close your account for responsible gaming reasons, please contact us at [email protected]. Your real-money balance will be returned to you following identity verification, and your data will be retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
4. Tips for Responsible Gambling
We encourage all players to follow these guidelines to ensure gambling remains a positive and entertaining experience:
- Set a budget — Decide in advance how much money you can comfortably afford to spend on gambling, and stick to it. Never gamble with money needed for essential expenses.
- Set time limits — Decide in advance how long you will play and take regular breaks. Use our session time and reality check tools to help.
- Never chase losses — Trying to win back lost money by placing larger bets is a well-known path to deeper financial harm. Accept losses as part of the game.
- Balance gambling with other activities — Gambling should be one of many leisure activities, not a primary source of entertainment or an escape from personal difficulties.
- Do not gamble when emotionally vulnerable — Avoid gambling when you are stressed, depressed, anxious, or under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
- Treat gambling as entertainment, not income — Gambling outcomes are random and unpredictable. Never rely on gambling as a source of income or financial solution.
- Keep track of your spending — Review your transaction history regularly and use deposit and loss limits to maintain visibility over your spending.
- Reach out for help early — If gambling starts to feel out of control, do not wait. Contact one of the support organisations listed below for confidential help.
5. Protection of Minors
Fortunica is strictly committed to preventing underage gambling. Our minimum age requirement is 18 years old, and we conduct robust age verification checks on all accounts. We will not knowingly permit anyone under the age of 18 to register, deposit, or participate in any game.
If you share your device or household with minors, we strongly recommend the use of parental control and content filtering software to prevent access to gambling websites. Recommended tools include:
- Gamban — gamban.com — Blocks access to gambling websites across all devices;
- Net Nanny — netnanny.com — Parental control and web filtering software;
- Bark — Monitoring and filtering for family devices.
If you suspect that a minor has accessed or registered on our Platform, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
